Backstage Pass

The artistic sounds we call music help shape the world. Music brings people together. It entertains, heals, makes money, brings cultures together, and, most importantly, tells powerful stories. 

As an extension of storytelling, journalism students from Sheridan College, in Canada and Manchester Metropolitan University, in the U.K. have worked together to explore and share the stories of music that help shape society.

In Backstage Pass, we explore the history of music from the resurgence of vinyl to the history of encores, the healing use of music in health & wellness, the cultural influences on music and vice versa, profiles of musicians, and the entertainment industry - from film scores to ticket prices to the ghosts who write the songs we love.
